He is also the founder and primary editor of Legal Evolution, an online publication that helps lawyers, legal educators, and allied professionals understand and solve very difficult problems related to legal industry change.

David has helped to form and build successful businesses in structured insurance / reinsurance (ACE Financial Lines), specialty investment banking (Aon Capital Markets), asset management (Elanus Capital Management) and Insurance Management (Gramercy Risk Management). Additionally, he was instrumental in helping Cochran Caronia Waller build an Equities and Equity Capital Markets business leading a number of important transactions and developing a strong franchise with Wall Street investors.

David Hollander

Board Director and former Global Insurance Practice leader at EY

David has over 30 years of experience working in and advising the insurance industry, with both broad business and IT strategy, as well as hands-on leadership and implementation of major operational change programs.

Most recently he served as the Global Insurance Sector leader at EY. At EY David focused on building a global client centric model to strengthen the Advisory capabilities particularly in the technology enabled transformation area while the local practices with reusable assets to jump start their growth ambitions. During his 9 years, Insurance was the fastest growing global sector at EY. 

David is presently serving on several wonderful Insurance company (Northwestern Mutual and Westfield Insurance) as well as Technology Boards (FINEOS and CLARA Analytics), while providing advisory services to global IT Service and several Insurtech companies. His passion is technology enabled growth strategies as well as executive coaching for up-and-coming leaders in the: Insurance, Technology and Consulting services sectors.

Prior to joining EY, he was CEO of UniRisx, a SaaS-based Product and Policy Administration Solution servicing over 50 lines of business in over 20 countries. In this role he helped underscore UniRisx’s position as a market leader in the SaaS policy processing space by helping to establish a track record of innovation, market leadership and success globally.

David also served as the global Insurance Line of Business leader at Accenture holding many leadership roles. Perhaps most notably, he was responsible for the formation and served as the CEO of Accenture’s Global Insurance Solutions Group which was the initial foray into the vertical software market for the Insurance sector. Eventually they were acquired by Life and P&C insurance core processing systems and drove dramatic growth for Accenture as well as customer satisfaction for their carrier clients.
