ClaimDeck Q3: Less Admin. More Intelligence.

Q3 gave us something better than a list of milestones.

Evidence.

Evidence that outside counsel will engage when the workflow works. Evidence that carriers can gain better litigation visibility without creating more work for adjusters. And evidence that customers are continuing to expand how they use ClaimDeck.

With 5% user growth in Q3, 30+ new law firms joining the platform, and some fascinating new data on who is actually doing the work inside ClaimDeck, here's what stood out.

Customer Success: Adoption Keeps Growing

Customer adoption continued to build in Q3, with active users increasing 5% during the quarter and 30+ new law firms joining ClaimDeck.

Zoom out a little further and the growth is even more significant: our user base has grown by more than 35% during 2026, bringing the ClaimDeck community to over 5,000 users.

But growth alone isn't the interesting bit.

Throughout Q3, customers continued expanding ClaimDeck across new teams, law firms, phases and geographic markets.

We supported customers moving into Phase II deployments, onboarding additional legal partners, improving Matter Scores and matter completeness, and building greater visibility into law firm and portfolio performance.

We're also working with carriers on new integration opportunities designed to connect ClaimDeck more closely with their existing claims environments, reducing duplication and making structured litigation data easier to put to work.

More users is good. More meaningful adoption is better.

80% of the Work. Outside Counsel.

One of the most interesting things our Q3 data showed us wasn't how much activity was happening.

It was who was doing it.

80% of recorded matter updates in Q3 were made by outside counsel.

That's exactly how the model should work.

Outside counsel is closest to the litigation. When their updates, strategy, valuations and key events are captured directly in ClaimDeck, that information becomes visible and usable by the carrier, instead of sitting across emails, attachments, calls and individual inboxes.

The adjuster doesn't need to recreate information that already exists. They can focus on oversight, intervention and decision-making.

“Claims teams shouldn’t have to spend time looking for information that already exists. Outside counsel is closest to the litigation, and when that information is captured consistently as part of the workflow, carriers gain visibility without asking adjusters to recreate it.

More importantly, that information stops living in individual inboxes and files and becomes data the organization can actually learn from, across matters, firms and the entire portfolio.”

Less chasing. Less duplication. Better data. Better decisions.

Build vs Buy: The Application Isn't the Hard Part

One subject generated a lot of conversation for us this quarter:

Should carriers build their own litigation management technology, or buy it?

But the more we explored the question, the more obvious it became that the technology isn't really the difficult part.

Carriers can build forms.

They can build dashboards.

They can build another place to store litigation data.

What takes considerably longer is building the operating model around it: the workflows, integrations, implementation, support, adoption, and a network of law firms willing and able to use it.

For one carrier we've worked with, more than 70% of its litigated matters were already being handled by firms familiar with ClaimDeck before implementation began.

That's the bit you can't code into existence overnight.

Our Build vs Buy series explored the questions carriers should be asking before deciding whether building internally really means greater control, or simply taking responsibility for an entirely new technology operation.

Product Update: Making Matter Score Easier to Act On

Q3 brought several customer-requested improvements designed to make Matter Score easier to understand, and easier to act on.

Users can now access the Matter Score chart and Snapshot directly from Matter Details, while missing requirements link straight to the relevant section of the matter.

Less searching. Fewer clicks. Faster action.

Early adoption has been strong, with 90% of Snapshot opens now coming through the new Matter Details entry point following the September release.

We also simplified everyday workflows with a new Dismiss All option for matter alerts and a streamlined onboarding experience that gets new users into ClaimDeck faster.

And some of the biggest improvements happened behind the scenes.

Engineering work reduced one of our major daily processing jobs by 93%, freeing up system resources and improving platform performance during the working day.

Not particularly glamorous. Very useful.

And Into Q4...

Q3's numbers tell a bigger story than simple platform growth.

Customers are expanding.

Law firms are engaging.

The work happening across the defense network is becoming visible, structured and usable, rather than being buried in emails, documents and individual inboxes.

And the conversation is moving beyond simply buying technology to asking how litigation should actually be managed.

That's exactly the conversation we want to be having.
